there is a tympanic membrane (TM) at the rear of the ear canal..if fluid or pus increases bringing up the rear the TM, like beside a cold you could have an ear infection..could be a wax build up..everyone have wax...could cause itching..if you did some diving within a pool, could have disturbed your ear inside..it adjectives depends...contact your doctor if you are feeling increased discomfort or if you hold a fever along beside ear symptoms
It's probably allergies. When my allergies get discouraging my whole system get overwhelmed and one of the symptoms is itching in the eustation tubes and throat. Very irritating! Also my husband have food allergies and when he eats something he's allergic to, this is one of the side effects. Best point to do is take an antihistamine and walk see a doctor to find out what's really causing it.
