This could be a few things:
#1: Something called punctal stenosis. This is when the puncta is blocked. The puncta is a small pore on your eye lid that drains the eye. It’s essentially like a short time gutter to remove tears. When it becomes blocked, your tears can spill over the lids=eyes watering.
#2: A viral Infection. Viral eye infections are associated next to "watery discharge." Viral eye infections will also do your eye to be a light pink color. If you do hold a viral infection, be careful when rubbing your eyes because this can be passed to your other eye!
#3: Allergies can also create profuse tearing. If you do hold allergies, you eyes WILL also itch. I think its undisruptive to rule out allergies because only your not here eye is affected.
There are deeply of other things that could cause eyes to river (smoke, contacts, air pollution, etc); however, if merely one eye is watering (unilateral presentation) then we can remove a lot of those possible cause.
I would suggest going to your Optometrist. They are experts in this nouns & will solve your problem! They see this type of problem on a daily reason. Best of Luck!
eye watering can be mainly due to headache,a sinus infection, smoke, bend,an eyelash grazing your eyeball,a problem with your contact lens,or overworking your eyes at the computer. you should consult a doctor. It may be a bit serious.
