Will sulfa antibiotics work for an chest cold/ infection?

Hi, I have an upper respitory infection and some sulfa antibiotics from something else that cleared on its own. Does anyone know if sulfas will work?
ThanksWill sulfa antibiotics work for an chest cold/ infection?
Sulfa antibiotics will work on the upper respiratory infection, ear infections, and kidney and bladder infection. You do however, inevitability to have at smallest enough to hold for a 7 day treatment which would be 1gm a sunshine or 4 x 250mg tablets or 2 x 500mg tablets daily for it to clear it up. This is the conventional standard recommend dosage. If you do not have this amount, here would be no point in taking it. If is is cause by a virus which most illnesses are, you can treat the secondary infection of the viral infection to prevent pneumonia or other complications.
no sulpha drugs arenot
Antibiotics work against bacterial infections. If you enjoy a bacterial infection yes Sulfa's will help. But, colds are cause by viruses and NO antibiotic will aid that.
IT MAY HELP.
BUT IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO GET IN AND BE CHECKED WHEN IT COMES TO URIs .
IT COULD BE BRONCHITIS
OR EVEN PNEUMONIA
FOR THESE A CERTAINLY MORE VIGOROUS MED WOULD BE PRESCRIBED.
HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!
you should NEVER have excess antibiotics. a doctor with an grasp of infectious processes and pharmacology can prescribe the best antibiotic for a bacterial infection. most upper respiratory infections are viral and do not need antibiotics.
