" Who Takes Statins "?

Hubby has be taking Statins for about a year, 20 MG Lipitor.
Insurance no longer includes Lipitor so the Dr. changed it to Simvastin 80 MG (generic Zocor).
He's have trouble ever since with muscle ache and no pep.
So he had ample of the 20 MG Lipitor left till he see's his Dr. surrounded by a couple weeks. He went support on these and feels a 100% better.
Has anyone ever have this problem with the sophisticated doses?
He will need a priorauthorization to bring the Lipitor back. No problem in that, his Dr. will send one out.I of late get foolish when somethong works and an insurance co. tells you to try another brand. Well that brand sent him for a loop. He have very serious abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery final Dec, and lucky to be alive. So it is imperitive he takes the medication that doesn't craft him sick! They said it will be ok'd.. In the mean time we enjoy enough to go and get through I hope." Who Takes Statins "?
Well, that just stinks.
Sometimes insurance companies purely really frustrate me. I hope they decide to cover his Lipitor up to that time the refill runs out. If not, you can see if you qualify for Merck's prescription assistance program. It's in actuality pretty good.
LIPITOR IS A SCAM
THE LIPID HYPOTHESIS IS SCIENTIFICALLY INVALID
It's not that unusual for a individual to tolerate one statin, but not another. And I agree, it's frustrating when an insurance bozo tries to tell patients what to give somebody a lift and what not to take.
Best of luck.
