Why does skin bruise? I have it in mind, when you see a bruise, what exactly is it?
it is blood vessels broken upon impact. if you hit your knees or shin or any part of your body and want to avoid a bruise, rub it right after it's hit and you will break up those blood vessel and won't bruise.
It's kind of close to the clotting of blood where stout impact is sustained.
bruising is caused when blood vessel are ruptured due to trauma, pressure, etc.

Bruises are where on earth bleeding has occured beneath the skin - often from trauma such as bumping it on something. I occassionally bring back bruising under my chin if I devour certain foods - a chemical contained by the food (MSG) causes the blood vessel there to overrun
