Why redheads?

I recently have a c-section and had to grasp a blood transfusion because I bled a lot. I be then told that redheads bleed more than anybody else, can some one please explain why?Why redheads?
Its not ALL red head, but theyre more susceptible, they also sometimes need more analgesic.
Never hear of such foolishness.
that's just stupid. Redheads are no different than blonde or brunette for bleeding. Circulatory systems are relatively equal for all ancestors.
I've been a nurse for 25 years and hold never heard of this in the past. My sister is a Nurse Midwife and says as lots delivery as she have done or c-sections she has assisted on she have never seen this to be true.
